Episode Guide To Help You Win Your Fantasy Football League!
1/6/23: Postseason Huggy & Baggy Awards and 2022 SUPERCUT!
We've reached the end of the 2022 fantasy football season, and it's time to hand out the hardware. We've got postseason awards for Fantasy MVP, Fantasy LVP and more, plus we'll look back on some of our best and worst calls from '22. And because the season ended so strangely, we'll also discuss possible ways forward for fantasy leagues whose championship games were interrupted. And then we'll end the whole thing with a Super-Cut of the entire season, replete with goofball moments from the show and the best mixtapes we got all year. Guest: Cousin Josh (@DetectiveFisch).
1/3/23: Five Players Whose Film We Love
The NFL world was rocked Monday night with a terrible injury to Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin, causing the postponement of a very fun NFL matchup, and causing us all to grapple with our fandom. We'll talk about that a bit to begin today's podcast, and then we'll discuss an appropriate topic: players we love. Not necessarily players we think will become superstars or major fantasy weapons...simply players who bring us joy when we watch them on film. And joy feels in short supply at the moment, so hopefully we can bring a smile to your face in a difficult time. Guest: Chris Raybon of the Action Network (@ChrisRaybon).
12/30/22: Undervalued Players For 2023 & Setting Finals Lineups
Our fantasy finals have arrived, and you're stressed about it, and that's okay! Today we'll talk about how to approach your championship lineup. We'll also give our final entries of DraftKings for 2022, setting up our Week 17 contest, and then we'll move on to the main topic of the day: finding some players we think will wind up as bargains in fantasy drafts in 2023. Enjoy the weekend! Don't get too crazy! Happy New Year! Guests: DFS Expert Jake Trowbridge (@JakeTrowbridge) and Cousin Josh (@DetectiveFisch).
12/27/22: Key Player Film For Fantasy Finals & W17 Waivers
If you made it this far, you're thirsting for a fantasy football title, and this weekend will decide it. That means your lineup questions will feel more urgent than ever for Week 17! Today we'll look back over the Week 16 game film and pick out players who impressed and *didn't* impress, and discuss whether your stance on using them in your finals should change as a result. Then we'll also do a final Waiver Wire segment, specifically focusing on quarterbacks who might be able to replace Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts for one last week. Guest: Jeff Erickson of Rotowire (@Jeff_Erickson).
12/23/22: Five Busts For 2023 & Prepping For Fantasy Semis
The fantasy semifinals are underway, and we'll discuss (briefly!) what happened Thursday night between the Jaguars and Jets. We'll also run down the injury situations we'll be tracking for this long weekend of NFL action, and make our DraftKings lineups for the main slate in Week 16. But we also want you to stress about your fantasy semis as little as possible! You've done the work! It's gonna be what it's gonna be! So we'll also do a soothing look ahead to 2023, and players whose ADPs we imagine will be higher than we're willing to pay. Bring on the busts! Guests: DFS Expert Jake Trowbridge (@JakeTrowbridge) and Cousin Josh (@DetectiveFisch).
12/20/22: Week 16 Waivers & Rest Of W15 Game Film
What happened to Christian Watson in Week 15? Is Justin Fields on his way to fantasy superstardom? Is Jalen Hurts truly questionable to play in Week 16 and what does that mean for Philly's weapons? Is D'Onta Foreman now on the no-fly list for fantasy? We'll discuss these and tons more issues that are brought up by the Week 15 game film, and then we'll spin it forward and talk about the waiver adds we're considering for our fantasy semifinals in Week 16. Guest: John Daigle of 4for4.com (@NotJDaigle).
12/19/22: Week 15 Game Film Review
In Week 15, the Patriots gave the gift that will keep on giving for years and decades to come: the stupidest play of 2022 and one of the stupidest in NFL history. We'll talk about that, and go over many of the exciting and disappointing players and offenses that defined fantasy quarterfinals weekend: What happened to Jonathan Taylor? Is Zay Jones now a must-start? Are the Buccaneers turning the corner or just doomed? We'll talk through the game film we actually watched, and not just the stat lines anyone can read! Guest: Jim McCormick of ESPN (@_JimmyMcCormick).
12/16/22: Top 12 Picks For 2023
Brock Purdy won another game and he was...fine. Guest: Cousin Josh (@DetectiveFisch).
12/15/22: Week 15 Ranks, SFvSEA Preview & DraftKings!
We shouldn't tinker *too* much with our Week 15 lineups, because we don't want the pain of benching a superstar and having him go off. But we also want to be smart as we get into the fantasy playoffs, and give ourselves the best chance of winning a championship. We'll try and skirt that line while talking about our Week 15 ranks, discussing some key players you may or may not want to start. We'll also preview the Thursday night game between the 49ers and Seahawks and create some Week 15 lineups for DraftKings. Guests: Dave Kluge from FootballGuys.com (@DaveKluge) and DFS Expert Jake Trowbridge (@JakeTrowbridge).
